WritersLabs browser extension

1. Single purpose

Scans open WritersLabs orders and automatically submits a bid with your custom message on orders matching your configured settings while you are already signed in to writerslabs.com in your own browser.

The Extension only runs on the following site(s), and takes no action anywhere else:

• writerslabs.com
• bot.urs-tec.com (our own licensing/subscription server — see Section 3)

2. Permissions we request, and why

Chrome requires every extension to declare the permissions it uses. Here is exactly what each one is for in WritersLabs:

storage

Stores your sign-in token, bot settings, keyword lists, and run statistics inside your own browser profile (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device and is not a tracking cookie.

tabs

Lets the extension detect, open, or switch to the correct tab on the supported website so automation runs on the right page. It does not read the browsing history or content of unrelated tabs.

alarms

Schedules periodic background checks (refreshing listings, verifying your subscription) so the bot keeps working without needing its popup left open.

scripting

Injects the automation script into the supported website's pages so it can read listings/orders and fill in bid or application forms on your behalf.

Host permissions

Access to the site(s) listed in Section 1 is required so the Extension's automation script can read listings and fill in forms only on those domains. The Extension cannot read or modify any other website you visit.

3. What data we collect

a. Account & authentication data

To sign in, the Extension's popup asks for the email address and password of your KD BOT Master account. These credentials are sent directly over HTTPS to our own server at bot.urs-tec.com to verify your identity and issue a short-lived access token. Your KD BOT Master password is never sent to writerslabs.com and is not shared with any third party. The password itself is not stored by the Extension; only the resulting access token and its expiry time are kept in local browser storage so you don't have to log in every time.

b. Website content the Extension reads

Order titles, subjects, and budgets visible on WritersLabs order-listing pages; academic level, discipline, and deadline visible on individual order-detail pages; plus the bid form fields the bot fills in. This content is read only from the currently open, already-authenticated tab on the domains listed in Section 1, and only while the bot is actively running.

c. Device & usage data

To enforce per-seat subscription limits and stop abandoned sessions, the Extension periodically sends a lightweight heartbeat to bot.urs-tec.com containing: a randomly generated device identifier (not tied to your hardware serial or advertising ID), your subscription status, and basic run statistics (e.g. bids attempted, orders taken). It does not include browsing history from any other site or tab.

d. Additional data specific to WritersLabs

You may optionally save one or more WritersLabs account email addresses in the extension as "bidding profiles" so bidding sessions can be labeled and matched to the right WritersLabs account. This is a label only — it is not your WritersLabs password, and your WritersLabs password is never entered into or read by this extension.

To decide whether to bid on an order and what message to submit, the Extension sends that order's academic level, subject/discipline, and deadline — not the full order description, price, client details, or any other order text — to our own server at bot.urs-tec.com, which returns a yes/no bidding decision and the message text to type. This response is plain data only; consistent with Section 4, the Extension never downloads or executes code returned by our server.

e. Payment data

If you pay for a subscription by M-Pesa, the confirmation code, transaction ID, payer phone number, and amount are stored against your KD BOT Master account so we can activate the correct bot and seat count. Payment confirmation happens through your KD BOT Master dashboard, not inside the Extension itself, and we never receive or store your M-Pesa PIN or full mobile money credentials.

4. What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising, ad targeting, or ad measurement.
• We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• We do not read, transmit, or store your browsing history outside the domains listed in Section 1.
• We do not inject, download, or execute remotely hosted code — all automation logic ships inside the Extension package that Chrome reviews and installs.
• We do not access your WritersLabs account password; it is never entered into or handled by the Extension.

5. Data sharing

Data described in Section 3 is transmitted only to bot.urs-tec.com, which is owned and operated directly by Urs Technologies — no third-party analytics, advertising, or data-broker SDKs are included in the Extension. Our hosting and email-delivery infrastructure providers may process data on our behalf strictly to keep the service running, under obligations to protect it and not use it for their own purposes.

6. Data retention & deletion

Account, subscription, session, and payment records are retained for as long as your KD BOT Master account is active, plus a limited period afterward to satisfy accounting and fraud-prevention obligations. Locally stored data (tokens, settings, statistics) can be cleared at any time by removing the Extension or clearing its storage from chrome://extensions. To request deletion of your server-side account data, email us at the address in Section 9.

7. Security

All communication between the Extension and bot.urs-tec.com is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Access tokens are short-lived and can be revoked at any time from your KD BOT Master dashboard, which immediately stops the bot on every device signed in to your account.

8. Children's privacy

The Extension is intended for freelancers and independent contractors and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Contact & changes to this policy

Questions, data access requests, or deletion requests can be sent to privacy@urs-tec.com. If we make material changes to this policy, the "Effective" date above will be updated and, where required, we will notify active subscribers.
